  • D.V.

    Yes, “Poof” indeed XD

    • GrYbStEr

“Poof” Ninja mood killer jutsu ):>

  • Be Free Quick! xD

  • Cory Tenorio

Chrissy is actually taking this pretty well. At the moment.

    • BlackWind

Well Quick wasn’t going to lie to her but unfortunately Reiko killed the moment so we’ll see how this goes next time

      • Vevans0009

        “sigh” Reiko. XD

  • Roccano

    Dammit Reiko…

Well, at least Chrissy doesnt seem too messed up about it right now.

  • Maximo806

*sigh* better start digging Quick’s grave * goes to dig grave*

    • Gotch

Sorry buddy the grave digger job is taken.

      • Magnus Petersen

        taken by dampey mothafugga

      • Maximo806

ok less work for me then off to vegas *goes to vegas*

    • Valkeiper2012

Judging from Crissy’s reaction, I’d say Quick will survive.

Just in case, prepare for cremation when Crissy blows her top.

      • Maximo806

        ok

  • Zoie Falcona

God Dammit, Reiko. Do you want your female harem after she kills poor Quick? Or is your master plan to get him all to yourself?

    • Timecapsule13

Nah, she just wants him to get her into the building so she can, ‘ahem’ get to know his coworkers.

  • Great Basin Coyote

Last week, there was a consensus that Chrissy will become insecure once again due to Quik’s new job. If Quik knows this to be the case, why is he even dating Chrissy? Does anyone remember WHY he’s attracted to her? I haven’t read archives for several months. Quik could have the pick of women whom have greater self-esteem and confidence.

So, why choose the emotional train wreck?

    • Gotch

There is no WHY. He just is.
Probably been through too much shit to give up on her.
“You can’t choose who you love”-Someone

  • AnonAnon

Judging from Chrissy’s expression, she knew ahead of time, which is good.

Also 10/10 Quick, I would’ve said something similar xD

  • Vevans0009

“Wild Nature”, eh? Yeah that girl had natural written all over her bod! ;P

    • Timecapsule13

Actually she did. The difference between all natural and fake boobs is that natural breasts jiggle more.

      • Vevans0009

And float in the water. xP

        • Timecapsule13

YEP. Its sad really, people think they need implants to get bigger, but all you need is the right diet or a very special massage oil that actually works, and yes it does exist, unlike for a guys parts, for a girl making her breasts, and butt, bigger is easy and can be done naturally, its just very time consuming.

          • Vevans0009

            So true.

          • Puniceus-Rose

so tell me of this mystical oil lol

          • Timecapsule13

Okay, search up on tumbler, there is a tumbler page dedicated to breast growth, and the girl who runs it actually tells you the name of the oil in a few of her posts, but it does take time, around 20 minutes, 4 to 5 times a day, and you will get results if you keep it up.

  • Cameron Harrison

You just know Reiko’s gonna be kissing up to Quick for nude pics of the girls. XD

    • Wolf2125

      Ain’t that the truth!

    • Dragoncat

Even more than that crazy coyote…or whatever that S.O.B. is…has been doing?

  • Shinigami65

And like always, Reiko just appear out of nowhere just to kill everyone of embarrassment XD

  • DarkMyste

and da horny ninja bunny strikes again

  • deathknight

I see the bunny here has a flair for shouting what she hears wit her mouth wide open

  • minimi22

I LOLED so hard at the last panel :’)

  • Toshiro Tushima

Typical Reiko, always having a big mouth.

  • Nicole Onyxheart

Reiko seems to have forgotten the first rule of being a ninja….YOU’RE SUPPOSED TO BE QUIET! geeze what a blabbermouth x3

    • Dakota Miyamoto

How she’s stealthy with THAT body is beyond me

      • It’s called practice.

      • Timecapsule13

Its called the power of Furry physics, and training.

  • Azurion

He wasn’t exactly losing either. Naked photos could be considered “Wild Nature”

  • Arkron

Call me a pervert if you want… but I want to see that photo shoot. :3

  • Gotch

Friends are here so, if you have a bad day, you go and ruin their day.
Or just ruin their day for fun. That’s cool too.
Wait how can he look pale? He is covered in fur.
Then again there is no blood left in him above the waist so maybe that’s why.

  • Valkeiper2012

You know, it’s actually better she found out like this than Crissy finding out many other ways. Quick’s reaction to Reiko’s statement rather took the edge off the problem.

Looks to me (like another poster noted) that Crissy may have already known (because she is friends to one of the major clients) or she may have suspected.

Well, one of the main hurdles in the problem has been handled. Looks to me like Crissy will state she trusts Quick enough. Looks like it’ll be up to Quick to be worthy of that trust. I think he can do it. He has already proven he is VERY trustworthy.

  • Huh, I guess Chrissy doesn’t seem to mind that Quick is working at his Sister’s business as a Model Photographer at all in the last panel.

  • BlackWind

qs far as things go Chrissy should not have any problems with Quick as he “nudged” her into making up her mind and coming back to him since he wasn’t going to put the moves on Jazmin only to regret doing so after “clearing up” her doubts with a lil chat she had with Jaz

  • Wolf2125

(chuckles) I have no words to describe this.

  • Hysteria

At least Quick’s tail is saved, Chrissy doesn’t seem as angry as I had predicted XD

  • Dakota Miyamoto

Has Quick gotten taller? I remember Reiko being a full head taller than him and now he’s nearly as tall as her, unless she’s leaning forward a little

  • Dragoncat

    Chrissy: But… We’re on the third floor…
Quick: You’re right. We’re not high enough. I’ll be on the roof…for the next minute or so.

  • Valkeiper2012

“No big deal”? I’d say a couple things about the deal are big, but you may be right.

  • ND

people always bad mouth Crissy but quick is also pretty lame

  • Cathy

are we….just ignoring the fact that he “looks pale” when its fur…..
idk i feel like being “that” person

  • Valkeiper2012

You know, Some people may be wondering if they should be pitying Quick… or envying him.

    I am one of them.

  • IronWolfQueen

Reiko is Sooooo awesome! I love her to death!

  • Dragoncat

I suppose when enough sweat glistens in the light, it can make the furry person look pale…

  • ThatOneComment

When did Crissy cut her hair?

  • Joshua Stewart

Ok, first off, Miles seems to be getting his Swole on from having to helf his lazy ass up the wall after Rach. (lol)

    No melty noses! Yay!

I like this, Rach is growing and showing she knows shes a total ass for doing what she did.

But it IS kind of hard to follow who says what in the bottom panel. I mean.. it makes sense if Miles asked, but still. with how the drawing is and how RACH is placed, it looks like She asked it and he responded.

    • Gio Gonzalez

I agree on the last panel, doesn’t make much sense, for a moment I thought someone in front of them was asking them that, on the melty noses, it’s just two panels with their closeup faces, I wouldn’t put my OCD at ease just yet xD

      • Joshua Stewart

Yeah, it’s super awkward. And I don’t attribute that to the artist or anyone being bad at anything, sometimes you just miss some stuff when you’ve been looking at it to long.

    • Glenn Sellers

Actually, when I read the last panel, I thought it was Miles asking the question and Rachel answering him. After all, Rachel was drawing the picture in the dirt earlier so I figured that she was still in the same location when Miles asked the question.

      • Joshua Stewart

It is Miles, but if you look at the picture and the way the cement is, Rach is on the left of the drawing while the question comes from the left. See what I mean?

        • Glenn Sellers

Okay, I see what you’re saying. However, in the previous panel, Rachel is sitting on the ground on our right of the drawing and the reply to Miles’ is also coming from our right. That’s what convinces me who’s speaking what line.

          • Joshua Stewart

Yes, right of the drawing because that is how she is facing to us, but she wasn’t drawing the doodle upside down, It changed to how she would view it if she was drawing it, Thus.. if the face is right side up, She is on the right side of the doodle.

  • Wolf2125

I can relate to Rachael in some ways.

  • Gio Gonzalez

The correct answer is, “no, Miles, though I’m sure this is what you WANT to do to people, I’m just as sure no one in the world brain dead enough to follow you, not even if Sarah and Geecku had a mentally impaired lovechild”.

    • Trombley

      And it begins.

  • Trombley

How does Miles steal the happiness from other people? Especially when he hasn’t really been with the other people on LL?

Come to think of it, if it wasn’t for Miles then Taffy wouldn’t be on Las Lindas just like Sarah wouldn’t be here if not for Rachael.

So are we to take from this that Taffy would have been happier working minimum wage waiting on tables in a restaurant?

    • Gio Gonzalez

Taffy didn’t seem miserable at all working at a restaurant, and I’m sure she would’ve been great if Miles never ever scarred her emotionally like he did when she didn’t want to put out.

      • Trombley

She seemed to be doing a lot better after she moved to LL. Kinda hard to beat free housing and better pay when you’re a student scraping by on minimum wage.

And the Miles/Taffy festival break up is getting really old. Their relationship wasn’t going anywhere and while it didn’t end on a happy note, these things rarely do. But you’re seriously saying that she’s emotionally scarred? She looks fine to me. Both of them have moved on from this. It’s just a shame the audience hasn’t yet.

        • Gio Gonzalez

How was she doing better if Mora had to work EVERYONE overtime for the harvest festival and said she wouldn’t be able to pay them? And it was all for naught because Mora won because she’s Mora and Alej decided to take what little dignity she had left.

And the Miles thing is still pretty creepy, ever had someone pestering you “let’s fuck, baby, come on, or else you’re a whore”, and there have been no signs that Miles has changed, heck, he was still whiny when his ex or whatever showed up to fix Digit, and here we have him again trying to get into Rachel’s pants with bribery and self-pity, when, once again, he already has Geecku, who’s willing to give him everything he wants and already screwed him with not a single condition, but he’s hellbent on getting girls he doesn’t deserve.

Finally, you know what also isn’t going anywhere? This whole comic, we keep jumping from disastrous relationship attempts, to rigged contests, dropped plots, authors’ pets inserted left and right for 539 pages in over 10 years, I’m pretty sure we have a right to complain whenever the hell we want.

          • Joshua Stewart

Yeah.. is Joy a fricken ‘Crest knight’ a tech head, a college gal who slacked off or what? I’ve seen that one character pulled so many different ways. .. are the Crest Knights even canon? If so how does this time line fit in with that one? So many questions. D8

          • Gio Gonzalez

I’ve never read any of the other stories except for Breast Are The Best, I mean, at least that gives us some kind of furry porn and the story doesn’t have to make sense nor the characters likeable.

          • Trombley

Wow this whole second paragraph, I don’t even know where to begin… If Miles just wanted to get into Rachael’s pants (he’s not just trying to do that, he might actually care for her) he would have kept his mouth shut about Geecku, that wasn’t his ex that showed up to fix Digit, and you might want to re-read the Miles/Taffy breakup.

You’re right though that this isn’t going anywhere, because people like you keep bringing up how Mile’s broke up with Taffy and that apparently makes him the furry Adolf Hitler. Hell just look at the comments for the “Burst Your Bubble” comic done a few pages back, the very first one has some lunatic talking about how he wants to torture and murder Miles (I guarantee if I talked about torturing and murdering Rach or Mora there would be an explosive backlash).

          • Joshua Stewart

Neither Gio or I think Miles is furry hilter or that he’s the only bad character here, we just think that so far he’s been a whiney shit that has full rights to leave and slam Mora legally as he does and wonder why the hell hasn’t he done so already.

          • Gio Gonzalez

Miles telling Rachael about Geecku is another insufferable attempt to make people feel pity for him, and see that he’s a guy worth having sex with, he wants credit for “telling the truth”, though, it might’ve been more remarkable if he had actually abstained from banging the lizard, drunk or not, ever watched Who Framed Roger Rabbit? protagonist, Eddie Valiant, suffers from being an alcoholic loser at the beginning of the film, near the end, as he loads his toon-revolver, he’s about to take one sip of his whiskey bottle, then he glances at it, pours the whiskey out on the street, and shoots the bottle, that’s real redemption right there, just imagine what a powerful moment it had been if Miles had rejected Geecku just as she’s about to sit on Miles’ pathetic excuse of a penis? Pretty sure it would be a better sign that he had changed instead of “duuuh, I had sexs with Geecku, but I wanted to tell you, ’cause telling the trooth is good, duuurh” what do you want? A cookie?

And you keep bringing up something that none of us said, God’s sake, I really don’t care about Miles suffering, I just want him gone, because once again, there are way too many characters and personal subplots in this comic that there’s no progress at all, but I don’t wanna see only Miles go away, Geecku too, Mora and Minos: could even go into a honey moon together and use it as an excuse for their absence, or when she becomes the New High Prime (because she WILL) and answers the perverted questions of readers, Idward and his sprites: gone, Sarah: maybe actually kidnapped by the people looking for her.

That would leave us, what? Sunny, the closest thing to an actual manager the farm has ever had, Taffy, the motherly figure, Randall, the supporting boyfriend, Rachael, whatever the heck she does, and well, may need to insert some antagonists, seeing as Alej is now in good terms wit Las Lindas.

      • Winner

Who the fuck is happy working as a waitress? Who seriously is fucking happy working on a minimum wage towards tips? ASSUMING THAT PRIME LAND HAS US DEAL OF WORKINGS.

        • Joshua Stewart

You’d be surprised WHO THE FUCK IS HAPPY WORKING AS A WAITRESS! D8<!!!!1!!!111!11

*Turns off sass* sometimes people fit the job well and pull in a good amount from just being so likable and able to handle it all.

        • Gio Gonzalez

And who the fuck is happy going to work in a crummy farm (back then), with Mora barely having any money to pay her workers (really, she was dead broke at the beginning of the comic), and listening to your cow boss and her buff boy-toy have hard sex every night, while your sad excuse of a boyfriend (back then) tries to force you into sex every chance he gets? Also, forcing minors to pay for food they spoiled by enslaving them instead of taking them to the authorities, yup, working as a waitress for tips sure sounds like a complete nightmare, compared to that.

    • Classy_Colibri

Dude, Miles just wanted to fuck Taffy. Nothing more, nothing less. And when that didn’t work out he ditched her like trash and went after the first next pair of hips his eyes caught sight of, that being Rachel. Fortunately Rach doesn’t seem to give in just as easily. You know what people think of guys who just go after a girl for her boobs and puss? That they’re hormonal douchebags. And rightly so. You can smell from a mile’s away that such losers will never make anything great of their life and just end up continually destroying the life of others because they’re trash themselves.

      • Trombley

So if this is the case then why didn’t Miles take Sarah out on a date when she offered? After all, all he cares about is sex.

      • Vince

If I may ask a serious question, without any intention to sounding disrespectful towards anyone: isn’t it valid to say that Miles became this way after his first run-in with Mora who basically “lured” Miles into a job, had sex with him to get at Minos, then treated Miles like trash? If not, was Miles like this BEFORE Las Lindas?
[It’s been a very long time since I read the comic and I know there are different comics that come into play in this universe]

        • Joshua Stewart

Miles has been a butt munch sense “Learning Curves” but it was suppose to show HOW be became a buttmunch.

But yeah, he’s not not the only bad character, he’s just .. not contributing at all to it really and ..like many others.. needs to go.

Still..Mora ain’t got shit on him to keep him at the farm, what she did was super illegal as well, MORE so than what he did.

        • Gio Gonzalez

Yep, also, when they met, Miles thought Mora was a hooker (or an acting hooker still, since she actually was at one point) and that Mora was taking him for a ride, she even came on to him and he played along, until, you know, Mora actually started slaving him.

        • Classy_Colibri

Did Mora ever have sex with Miles? If so, gross…

          • Joshua Stewart

Yes, yes she did, as revenge sex WHEN MINOS WAS THERE.

          • Gio Gonzalez

Eh, they’re birds of feather (or should I say mammals of fur??), since both of them wanted to force people to do whatever they wanted, except Mora succeeded and Miles utterly failed, also, their first official love interest in this comic was with a bland, generic characters (Minos and Taffy, respectively).

      • Winner

        >never make anything great of their life

Holy shit wow, I don’t even know what to begin of this. These kind of people are douchebags but they also learn over time what the hell they are doing and they actually see what’s going on. That’s called character development Classy_Colibri! If you ever seen a douchebag character redemption moment it takes a long period of time. Such as a regular human being.

Let’s also remember that this isn’t anime. This isn’t automatically equaling that all characters act a specific way. We don’t know if Minos might start acting abusive all of a sudden because even Buhdda loses his shit.

I’m sorry for blowing up at you, but I guess I’m just so tired of hearing the same “OH KICK HIM OUT” argument from people. Characters who basically need to work on their personalities are actually the best kind of characters if anything. They turn out to be great people and probably better people then you realize.

        • Joshua Stewart

Plot points are dropped because of lazy writing, All the girls now have either stupidly sized boobs, perfect abs or ass/hips for days. The farm was LITERALLY given a Deus Ex Machina to save it’s ass and Mora’s. Mora is half evil space saiyjin bunny.

It’s PRETTY MUCH a damn anime at this point.

          • Gio Gonzalez

Not to mention that Miles hasn’t changed his whiny, selfish attitude in over TEN YEARS and 500 pages of this sad excuse of a web comic, so unless Chalo can pull what Kojima did with Raiden, I really doubt Miles can become a better person overnight, since again, no progress on his shitty personality has happened ever since this story started.

    • Joshua Stewart

Oh no, Sarah could of not been an Orphan? Found a family that loves her and been raised as a loved child instead of being on the run till 17? That sounds TERRIBLE!

Taffy could of avoided all the drama, bull crap, broken house, dumb shit from Mora, dumb shit from Miles, and had an actually steady paying job not clear in the fetch out of the way of town? What a shame.

Working at Las Lindas wasn’t that great an honor or privilege at the start of it, and being that the authors only say it is successful, but never show how it is.. you can guess that it is only barely successful.

      • Gio Gonzalez

Dude, Las Lindas farm got successful thanks to her Majesty, Deus Ex Machina incarnated, Ambar, she was all like “here, Mora, you win infinite money from the harvest festival for running your farm with slavery and here’s a little extra for being such a good Mary Sue”.

        • Joshua Stewart

          When you’re right, you’re right.

          And boy are you right.

  • Kristen Hall

And so the journey to redemption begins.

    • Gio Gonzalez

And it only took 539 pages!

      • Kristen Hall

True, but all redemption stories take long.

        • Gio Gonzalez

Funny you mention “redemption”, because in the game Red Dead Redemption, protagonist and ex-criminal John Marston starts his way to redeem for his life of crime by doing the government’s dirty work, will not spoil it to you, but he achieves this, within less than a year in the game’s time frame, so, not all redemption stories take long AF.

          • Winner

Gio I swear to god, the more I read your commentary. I think I lose more brain cells than reading an anime fan trying to explain why a character is a loli archetype.

          • Joshua Stewart

Then stop reading the comments? All you’ve done is just fly off the handle and get pissy with out actually bringing up any .. good points to counter with.

          • Gio Gonzalez

So, are you getting your comments deleted like me?

          • Joshua Stewart

            No?
            I haven’t checked.

          • Gio Gonzalez

Damn, one of mine keeps getting deleted, preeeeetty sure it’s because I mention Miles’ creator…

          • Joshua Stewart

            Odd, but not surprising.

          • Gio Gonzalez

Wow, you’ve completely changed my perspective in life with such an insightful and contributing comment, by the way, I have a phone call for you, some Mr. Sarcasm or something.

    • Al

That or another failed epiphany like so many others Miles has had.

      • Kristen Hall

Very, VERY doubtful, unless the characters guardian human tries to intervene in which case chalo should just ignore him.

        • Gio Gonzalez

Well, up until now, it’s not unusual that the writers keep dropping every turning point the characters have, also, I don’t see Miles very convinced that his behavior is terrible, I don’t see the epiphany to be honest, this is like when someone tells you “you need to eat more healthy” and you’re just like “yeah, you’re right” and eat healthy for the next few days then go back to your gluttonous behavior by the next week (just and example, though, not implying you’re like this IRL, nor anything).

  • Kondri János

And now as others before me said it already. THE JOURNEY BEGINS
However as a beloved Miles fan I really hope that he will not just go “I am enlightened and 180 shift from what he is.“. From this point the slow turn to being a better person intrigues me but when I think about a scenario which would be more unexpected that he would stick with his old plan and just goes away and does something Miles in a clever fashion (this would also be a change from his usual self but in a different way). At this point I am eager to get next weeks page. Love the art style too 🙂

  • Gokudomatic

I bet every Miles-haters are rejoicing this moment of scolding.

    • Appledash

Well, you could grow up, unblock them, and find out.

      • Gokudomatic

        Please don’t talk nonsense.

        • Appledash

Please don’t act childish, it’s okay to disagree with them, it’s okay to block their comments if they bother you, but it’s really immature to talk crap about people behind their backs, cowardly even, just sayin’.

          • Gokudomatic

I hear you. But it’s still not happening anytime soon. I mean, growing up.

          • Appledash

Well, then don’t expect people to take you seriously in a discussion nor sympathize with your views.

      • Joshua Stewart

Oh, we see his comments, believe me, he’s just to much of a chicken shit to actually see ours.

    • Trombley

Much like how Miles-lovers are just used to this by now.

  • CazzT

I’m still not seeing the bad things Miles did that gives Rachel any ground to lecture him. She’s done worse, and even admits to those things in this conversation. This shoe-horning of “Miles bad!” is really old and boring now.

    • Joshua Stewart

It was a long time ago in the comic, BUT..Miles dragged Taffy along to the farm, really not giving her any choice. I think he even told her manager she quit? but I may be wrong. He just constantly tried to get Taffy to have sex, even when she wasn’t comfortable with it. Dumped her when she wouldn’t put out at a festival in front of others, treated her like crap, constantly tried to get in Sarah and Rach’s pants. Basically just ignored the farm work he was suppose to do.. not that I blame him, Mora tricked him, illegally black mailed him and somehow he hasn’t left the damn place..

He’s been a total asswhipe, but so has Mora, Geeku, the dumb sprites, Ambar and many others, so really he just doesn’t look as bad as others cause ..others are worse..

      • Trombley

“constantly tried to get in Sarah” … you mean like that time when Sarah wanted to go out on a date with him and he politely turned her down because she was acting immaturely? Yeah Miles is a real son of a bitch for taking advantage of her like that. Oh wait…

        • Joshua Stewart

And the Time when she was wearing Mora’s outfit where he tried to swing what kind of “favor” he could get from her? The one that lead to her slapping the shit out of him?

Don’t try to cherry pick, the whole tree is still there as evidence.

          • Trombley

Speaking of cherry picking, would you kindly provide a list of everyone who has physically assaulted Miles?

That teasing Sarah for her birthday presents happened before their “date” and his talk to her. If he wanted to get into her pants he could have done that easily at that time.

          • Joshua Stewart

Your point being that nearly everyone has hit him, including the lesbo Mouse instead of bonding with him over the robot?

Yeah, lots of these where “LOL COMEDY!” So was the one where Sarah slapped him and walked away. Still, he wanted to get it on with her before he got slapped.

I’m not saying Miles is the worst character here by far, what I am saying, is that he’s not the best character either and it would serve both him and the others best if he just left.

          • Trombley

You’re saying he’s not the worst character here by far, and yet no one is more hated than him in the entire LL comic.

Referring to an earlier post in these comments, there was a discussion about torturing and murdering Miles a few pages back. Someone actually wanted to skin him alive.

Who else gets this treatment? When Rachael and Minos kissed did anyone threaten them? When Alej and Mora were enemies did anyone want to skin Alej alive (even after she had her minions attempt to rape Mora)? When Sarah almost killed Digit who here thought Sarah should die? Does anyone want Geecku dead? Idward? The sprites?

Yet Miles just shows up in a comic and it’s socially acceptable to – AND I QUOTE – “your right! he’s worth a lot more. kidnapping and torture come to mind. make his death a slow painful one.”

          • Joshua Stewart

And if you bothered looking at some other comments I made, even on this page.. Mora, Geeku and others are far bigger sacks of crap than he is. Trust me, while we wish Miles would go away, We also wish Mora and Geeku would as well, And the Sprites. I can’t talk for the person who said that, but.. WE DIDN’T SAY THAT! SO STOP BRINGING IT UP AND GETTING PISSY AT US FOR IT!

      • CazzT

“He’s been a total asswhipe, but so has Mora, Geeku, the dumb sprites,
Ambar and many others, so really he just doesn’t look as bad as others
        cause ..others are worse..”
This is why I’m having such a problem with this whole “Miles bad!” story arc. He’s a saint by comparison to Mora. But she gets a pass by literally everyone. Hell, even Alej has waved away all the shit she’s done. Cuz raisins. I’m all for someone being held accountable. But the things Miles has done are trivial compared to Rachel and Mora.

        • Joshua Stewart

I aint’ saying your wrong. Trust me, I got plenty of ‘raisins’ (that made me chuckle) to think most of these characters have Karma coming to them in a world ending fashion, but ..you know..

          • Gio Gonzalez

loool, I didn’t get the raisins part until now, definitely gonna start using that from now on x’D

          • Joshua Stewart

            Its fricken great right?

          • Gio Gonzalez

            It is!

            …unless you’re completely unraisinable! xD

        • Al

Yeah, no, Miles is not better than Rachael, who’s definitely not on the same awful level as Mora.

  • MrAMP

Okay, is it just me or does it seem rather odd that Rachel would be revealing all of this to Miles of all people given his rather shady personality? Then again, Geecku did tell him about the whole her and Minos being Crests and/or super old and using the threat of violence against him.

  • Glenn Sellers

It just struck me what the first thing Rachel says in this page. “Did I ever tell you why I ran away with Sarah?” In normal context, that’s a guy talking about the woman he loves. (I know that isn’t what’s being implied but it does sound like it.)

  • Winner

Pfft, Miles doesn’t do that. He doesn’t just take people away from a promising future. Taffy wasn’t really particularly making any money doing as a fucking waitress. Rachel the reason why you did it was because you were the same kind of person, the people who were to you. You just had to a childhood. Another reason why I hate Rachel, it’s her fucked up personality view on people. “OH WELL I JUST CALL IT WHAT I SEE IT”

No motherfucker, you don’t just call what you see it and thinking that it’s acceptable. You have to fucking prove that’s what people do.

    • Gio Gonzalez

No, I personally want Miles out because he’s been the most useless character in the whole comic, he has no talents, no skills, no assets, nothing to contribute, people argue that it is because of him that Taffy and Sunny are in the farm, but that didn’t depend of any particular trait from Miles, except being incredibly selfish and irresponsible, literally any braindead character could’ve done that, all he does is whine about never getting his way and how girls with actual brains don’t wanna fuck him, he’s an annoying self-insertion of his creator, and the comic would be a lot better without characters like these, I feel we’ve been stuck on this scene long enough.

Also, it doesn’t seem that Miles is really ready to redeem himself, prior to this conversation, he only wanted to tell Rachael that he had sex with Geecku because he thought Rach would jump onto his arms ready for him to sex her up, now that Rach is telling him how it is, he seems to get where she’s coming from, but just like a drunkard that is still suffering from a hangover, it doesn’t seem like a ground-breaking moment of clarity nor remorse for him.

  • I would just like to point out to everyone with their pitchforks and torches, Miles and Taffy didn’t work out because they weren’t reaching any new levels in their relationship. She kept saying take it slow, and you can only slow things down so much before you stop completely. And it doesn’t make any guy feel secure when he wants to spend time with his girl and she spends it with another man (even if playing D&D). She kept avoiding him and waving him off like he wasn’t there. To add insult to injury he was giving Taffy his paycheck, not because he was trying to get sex from her, but because he didn’t feel like he needed the money more than she did. They were BOTH at fault and had horrible chemistry. Granted things could have ended a little friendlier but in the end they were not right for each other. As for his “plan to get sex with the truth” you guys are seriously conspiracy nuts.

    • Gio Gonzalez

He literally called Taffy a whore for not having sex with him, he also told her that girlfriends are for fucking, yup, Taffy was just as an a-hole as him, totally *rolls eyes*

      • I never said she was an ahole, or that he is not an ahole. Taffy was in love with his bad boy image, that is not a characteristic you want a relationship to be built on, otherwise you get Kylo Ren as a result. The only difference between Miles and Han Solo is one isn’t a pilot yet and hasn’t helped save the galaxy (yet) but Miles still gets too much hate for just being a guy who wants to get a little out of life before it ends.

        • Gio Gonzalez

Han Solo? Please, Miles has never done anything remotely cool, no, I think Miles would be more akin to the Skywalkers as they seem to whine nonstop about not having their way, ever.

And yeah, if Miles wants to get a “little out of life”, then it begs the question: why the heck is he still working in a farm where he’s not appreciated and he doesn’t care one bit for working in? Why didn’t he take Geecku’s advice of being free as he wishes? Why is he hellbent on boning girls he doesn’t deserve? It’s just so stupid and nonsensical in any way you look at it.

  • Stareo

Oh my gosh the meanness in these comments is so heartbreaking…
Guys, come on, just because you don’t like a character much doesn’t mean you have to be so upfront and rude about it! Maybe this is the start of a side arc where Miles and Rach become better people and develop a bond and a stronger lasting friendship? That’s what I think it is. I’m still excited for the next page…

I see this argument a lot and it really bugs me, “but there’s too many characters!”
“Get rid of some of them!”
Could any decent person go up to a comic artist and writer like Chalo, face to face, and tell them “you’ve got too much going on here, too many characters, get rid of ’em” never mind how much he has in store for them, or what kind of connection he has with them? He’s writing bonus comics too, so it’s clear he’s passionate or at least has a lot of creative ideas and stories.
(Miles was like one of the very first characters introduced mind you, I have no doubt he’s going to have something great…)

If someone told me that I should scrap a couple of my characters that I’ve spent lots of time flushing put and designing I’d be kinda furious. That’s not to say that criticism over characters isn’t acceptable, because you can totally dislike Miles because of the stuff he did, or because you don’t like his fashion or haistyle, but asking for straight-up deletion is kinda… Crossing a line, I think.
I think the point of a webcomic like LL in particular is to see how a character changes or reacts to new situations, or watch them face their own internal conflicts, kinda like how Rachel is doing right now. Miles was a bad egg trying to get laid, but that’s what he WAS. Whose to say he can’t change, or find new perspective? I think Rachel would be the perfect person for doing that.

Also if you don’t like this comic nobody’s twisting your arm to read it. I saw that comment a couple times, “this whole comic sucks and blah blah I’ve been reading for so long and it’s for nothing blah blah” just come on. Don’t like it, don’t read it. Simple. I like it, so, I’ll keep reading it and rooting for all the characters.

    • Gio Gonzalez

No offense, but there’s a lot of wrong in your argument and it sounds more like a misinformed and biased opinion, let me tell you why:

It doesn’t matter if “it’s the start of a side arc” if the writer(s) are gonna drop said story like they’ve done with literally every new turning point they’ve introduced, example: when Miles found his stupid plane and thought it was time for some WACKY adventures around the world, what happened to that? Look at all the time that Miles and even Rachael (after he dragged her into it) have been working on this dumb project, and now Miles is thinking of staying with Rachael and “feeling responsible” enough to work in Las Lindas, so, is he just gonna scrap the plane now? Or something easier and just buried in bad writing like everything else has?

And yeah, if I had the chance to meet Chalo, I would give him my piece of advice, I’d try to do it as polite as possible, since, even if this work of his doesn’t deserve any respect, I do believe everyone deserves respect as a person, I’ve actually done this before with fellow indie comic writers and publishers I’ve had the pleasure to meet at different events, I also give them praise where they deserve it, I myself have received both nice and harsh critiques from other writers and artists as well, it’s all part of this profession, you really can’t expect to hear praise and adulation from every side.

On the scrapping characters, as I’ve said before, having way too many characters with way too many subplots stops the main story from advancing, and it feels incredibly unfocused, I’ve already mentioned that the last time the comic felt like it was going somewhere was when Sunny showed up and started doing all the work Mora was supposed to do with sheer will and effort, Sunny is probably the character that closest feels like a protagonist you feel like rooting for, and it’s sad that, as I mentioned earlier, she’s become yet one more thing that has been dropped on behalf of writer’s pet characters like Miles and Geecku.

Also, I’m not asking Chalo to “delete” Miles nor anything, I just don’t want him on this story, I think it’d be more suitable if he had his own series in which he actually uses his dumb plane and explore the world like he intended on the first place, also, Miles is not a character from Chalo, he’s a character of writer SoulKat, and you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to see that Miles is just a self-insertion of his own fursona, the same goes to Idward who is a character from IdFox, and even though Idward has been shoehorned to the story more than once, at least he’s not as blatantly in our face as Miles’ annoying plots.

Also, if avoiding something you don’t like is so easy as just ignoring it, then why can’t you just ignore all these mean comments if they “break your heart” so badly? I’ve said it before, the two reasons why I keep reading this webcomic, is because 1. I refuse to believe reading it all these years has been a waste of time and 2. It’s a great example of the kind of bad writing I wish to avoid, so it’s essential to comic writers like myself, so what’s your excuse? Why do you keep reading and replying to comments you don’t like?

    • Gio Gonzalez

Frankly I’d love to have a long chat with all the writers of Las Lindas about what doesn’t work and what would. And if you think I wouldn’t, I’m far more brash than most people face to face, That’s what you get when you are from a place that you either step on, get stepped on, or push the steppers off.

  • Albert Belle

So only NOW they realize they have been treating people like shit? I mean I have been saying that from the very beginning and people defended Miles treating Taffy badly and calling her names and Rachael selfishly talking her sister away for her own purposes and coveting Minos and both of them sitting around while farm is in a mess hiding from work and then suddenly out of the blue they come up with the revelation that they are assholes and need to change? I mean wasn’t that obvious from the very start? I mean I know Rachael and Miles aren’t stupid and must have some knowledge of when they are treating others badly unless they have a very nihilistic or deluded point of view.
