The friends talk seems to over for now. Many things were told and they need some time to sort things out. Don’t we all?

Even the characters find this to be a silly twist.

I mean, I understand it's supposed to be an epic moment and all, but you're handling it all wrong… That's just… Cliched and cheesy. Everything that was said and how it was handled… It was a very terrible implementation of what could have been an epic moment.

      Ruined…

      • Katzy

I'm just glad there are people who actually care about the story development, D: and not just tits and character wars.

Sorry, meant that to be standalone…

    • ragnaroxas

Yeah, I guess this will cue into a "Mora Is Part-Alien and Has Super Powers" arc.

Except that all Primes are 'aliens', if you remember.

Cue the Dark Twist in Mora's life.

  • Valgaav

Now, you see, the "Tainted Primes" twist should have been in the other one. Give us some context to the WTFery.

<.< i believe i know you owo would happen to be named Kormaik on a site known as FP?

  • Chaos

As much as I love the comic, could you think of a better word for Primes or at least describe to us what your version of a Prime is. Thank you. LOVE THE COMIC! Do not get me wrong! Loyal fan for long time!

    • SushiJaguar

How do you know what a Prime is in this setting if you're such a fan? This was explained ages ago.

    • Potatoskin

I could be way off, but i believe primes=furries, humans are humans, and tainted primes are the evil people. I could be way off, but thats what ive gathered so far.

    • http://www.kitsune-realm.com Kitsune-Realm

Primes are originally from a planet called Prism.

When this planet was destroyed (presumably by these Narakhan) they fled to Earth.
When Earth too was destroyed, Neo-Earth was founded where Furries… er, Primes and Humans lived together. :3

      • Hallucination

Although there have been no humans, not even that guy who somehow got in the background. Are they in some District 9 type place?

  • Lumaria

Unfortunately I don't see Mora doing any crazy evil scheming since she is just farm owner… should could of had her own secret mountain stronghold or anti-prime academy to train a new wave of evil villains. But no, back on the farm we are just worried about bugs getting in the crops and where those lazy cats are lounging around at.

  • SuperVoop

Mora….I am your father! Now, cut off my hand, join me, we can overthrow the emperor and rule the empire together! Oh, BTW Mora you've got an evil twin, who recently regained her memory, after waking up from a coma, running around somewhere intent on taking your place. Have a nice day.

  • http://dezraffy.deviantart.com DezRaffy

    Oh right…

  • Jess

    Poor Mora :<

At least we know that at the very least her father cared enough about her to do that, despite being "tainted". And then, after all that, she finds out her mother's died. It actually brings a new perspective on Mora's personality from the beginning of the comic.

  • Neku

It makes a little more sense why she was mistreated in the first pages of the story. If it had gotten out, the villagers / cityfolk would think her a monster. Remember, there was both a human and a prime on the page she was called a monster.
It at least explains part of her outlandish strength and endurance, such as pulling around the Big Cheese or surviving that shotgun smack so easily.
This still doesn't exactly explain why the farm was being sold piece by piece to the dad.

    • Chrissylacat

I would think the selling of the farm piece by piece was for the cost of keeping the father in whatever the heck place he was out. Upkeep and all that, keeping him alive and under control. That does cost some money you know. :)

  • Blue Sly

Okay, this makes up for the last page already… glad this is going in a better direction than I thought. :)

    Sorry for the doubting. :(

    • Randy Darkshade

This is why you shouldn't jump the gun.

      • Blue Sly

Yeah, yeah… -.- but we do need info about these Narakhans though. Hope soon.

      • Derrath

"All good things come in time"…. Though, it's not his or anyone else who did the same thing's fault…. Patience is becoming a lost art in webcomic fans, at least one's who didn't grow up with the silver age of comics, where this important information ALWAYS took time to be fully explained….. Luckily, that time has made those of us who lived through that age more understanding in the fact that "information overload on one page" ISN'T a good story telling device, and can try to explain such to the younger generation of comic fans today.

      • Jim

Derath, would you be as kind to cease this? We know it by now: You are the venerated sage of your time, who did field trips 50 miles throughout the snow, without any kind of warming clothes. Stop being such a condescending moron. Many more have witnessed the ushering of the age of web comics and yet aren't that obsessed to let everyone know, how time has "matured" them, while letting others know infantile they are in their "petty" opinions. Just stop doing this.

  • BarGamer

Yeah, could really use some context for this "Narakhan" stuff. Didn't see anything in Crest Diaries or Knighthood.

    • Sepher

Yes you have. In Knighthood Ayah is most certainly one of these "Narakhan"

  • Chocothunda

    Mind has exploded O_O

brb, picking up pieces of my brain D:

  • remmus

kinda feel like there was a gasp plot point dropped with no real gasp, because well the audience don´t really know who the Narakhan is, maybe ya should show us what makes them so gasp inducing evil, instead of trying to jerk it out of us by just making the characters gasp.

    • Steve

In Knighthood he explains who they are, I guess you've missed that point in that scene.

      • BlackJade

Not everyone reads the bonus comics. They shouldn't HAVE to read them to get the main story either :/ they still aren't explained that much anyway.

      • Kurai

Completely agreed with JackBlade. A good story stands on its own. I shouldn't have to read all the side star wars books to understand the main plot. The same goes for this. The side comics aren't even finished so I've barely bothered to read them. Because that's what they are: side comics. Not 'comics where the plot will be explained for the main comic'

  • wolfwolves001

Just cuz one's blood has darkness in it doesn't mean the heart itself is dark. Who knows, might help her in the future. :3

  • http://www.kitsune-realm.com Kitsune-Realm

So, Narakhan are primes that are "tainted", who are fighting an old war.

The war with Prism itself was never explained, just that there was an Ancient War that caused them to flee Prism. Primes were the keepers of the Dragon Gods apparently, the Narakhan may simply just have wanted these powers, and since the won that war (Prism was destroyed by the Narakhan) they must have gotten these powers.

The tattoos that Ayah and Mora's father have, slightly match the symbol on the flag in this page:
    http://laslindas.katbox.net/archive/prisms-fading-light/
So the Narakhan are probably followers of the Emperor who destroyed Prism and Earth. Saying that they are 'Tainted' might also suggest they are regular Primes who are possessed by Narakhan.

I have a feeling that Ambar or another Crest is keeping these "Tainted Primes" like Mora's Father inside that hospital from the previous page. Maybe the Primes are looking to get the powers of the Dragon Gods back, and Ambar uses Mora to achieve that.

    okay enough hypotheses, flames away!

    • jarf6

Yes! Someone who actually read the comic! :D

      • http://yearofthecow.petitesymphony.com OtakuMan

        Since I can't reply below:

Bengala may have called her Princess, but if the hints are to be believed, Kate can't be the royalty they speak of since she's the Crest of Light, and the Crests are not part of the royal family.

Sarah would be the member of the royal family in hiding if the hints are to be believed. However, she nor Rachel are aware of that.

If this is correct, then the question is whether or not she will have to ascend to the throne to deal with the Narakhan or not.

    • Chocothunda

I think you made my brain hurt, but in a good way O_O

This calls for a bit of re-reading!!!

    • Herp Derpson

You know, this whole "tained prime" thing sounds like bigotry to me…

Now hold on. Hear me out on this.

First off, I haven't read ANY of the bonus comics… I didn't no I had to. So if I've misunderstood anything, let me know.

You say that these "Narakhan" were following an Emperor. That would mean they were another nation. They're still Primes. [Unless they're another race.]

Not necessarily evil, just of a different viewpoint.

Because the Primes won this war [/assumption] them calling them "tainted" looks like anti-"Narakhan" propaganda.

Hell, "Narakhan" could be a derogatory term for people who oppose them.

Just because the Primes call the Narakhan tainted, it doesn't mean they're actually evil. [For all anyone knows, it could be the other way round.]

      • Herp Derpson

        Balls… *know [Line 3 "I didn't no I had..."]

      • Derrath

That is a very accurate description of the situation if I've ever read one. You are right in your reasoning, and I think that that alone makes this comic the much better. After all, that's something that has happened MANY times in real life after historical wars. The Narakhan being on the receiving of this prejudice and "anti" propaganda is very realistic, as "History is written by the victors" comes to mind…. I wanna thank you for bringing this point up and helping spread the awareness that, despite it all, this story has realistic parts to it, and thus makes it more relate-able to us and shows it has talent in storytelling techniques….

      • http://www.kitsune-realm.com Kitsune-Realm

It may very well be that way indeed, if both sides fight for a goal that they themselves believe to be right, naturally their enemy will be considered "evil".

Still, there are many things this could go indeed, and its fun to read how many people have so many different opinions about it.

  • Bucc-i

And all this time I was thinking that Mora was the true Queen of the Primes.
Shows you how much I know.

    • http://www.kitsune-realm.com Kitsune-Realm

I think that will be Sarah

      • jarf6

But I though the Queen was Kate. Well at least in The Crest Diaries Bengala calls her princess

        • http://www.kitsune-realm.com Kitsune-Realm

Since Kate is a Crest, a host to one of the Dragon Gods, I thought she couldnt have been the Queen. But your comment has made me wonder, perhaps the spies of the Harvest Festival are mistaking Sarah for Kate.

      • Bucc-i

Kate is a Princess in the same way that Amber is Queen High Prime. If anything were to happen to the Queen, one of the Princesses steps up to take her place. Just think of a Princess as a Vice President.

  • Sepher

Wow remember waaaaay back in comic 4?
    http://laslindas.katbox.net/archive/prisms-fading-light/

And to the whiners, yes, this had been obviously hinted at and through the comic, and now we know what Ayah is in Knighthood.

    • jarf6

Thank goodness! I'm not the only one who noticed that.

    • http://yearofthecow.petitesymphony.com OtakuMan

The only concern I have is back during the beginning of the comic, when Alej first confronts Mora. She talks like she knew about Mora's father in terms of why portions of the farm were sold off gradually, and the like.

But here, she's clearly astounded when she learns about what he is.

So was she bluffing? Or did she actually have some intel on Mora's father after he left? If he left before she was born, and was tracking him after Mora left to go find him…

…continuity error, or possibly something deeper?

    • remmus

nope, because I´m a human, you must be a alien, remembering a plot point 6 years ago X3 I like Chalo, and this comic, but remembering something 6 years ago is a feat, a refresh would have been nice (or heck a "History" tab up there just under cast X3)

  • jarf6

This is getting very interesting. I can't wait to see the next pages :)

  • http://laslindas.katbox.net/ Carbuncles21

and yet tons of people were saying that reveal had nothing to do with it obviously never read any of it or you would have seen that although that does explain all the crazy strength to pull over a giant robot or the stuff minos pulls off on a daily basis

    • Gargravarr

I think most people just assumed that enhanced strength and durability was a natural trait of cow-Primes, like how female cow-Primes seem to naturally be overall larger and bustier than most other females. I know I did.

Also, Minos is definately a Prime, because the name refers to the anthromorphic animal characters, as opposed to humans.

      • http://www.kitsune-realm.com Kitsune-Realm

Minos is actually the Earth Crest, an overpowered Prime

      • NH

        ..wait, what?!

      • Gargravarr

I know, I was mainly referring to Mora in my post.

  • http://laslindas.katbox.net/ Carbuncles21

not saying he's tainted just might be a prime or something not sure where im going with this

  • Victor

This really changes everything for those three, doesn't it?

  • Gargravarr

Uh-oh. I hope that last panel isn't supposed to be ominous. I know Alej is supposed to be having a heel-face turn, but I'm still wary of her.

  • Evil Emperor Proteus

    The hell is a Narakahn?

      basically yes.

  • Huh?

This is almost vague and abrupt enough to be an in-joke…

  • the-one

Is her father now going to get an entry in the cast page now

  • Leo Murat

    ooooooo the plot thickens!

  • jwink2236

I love how three of these last posters seem to hint that they are the same troll that cant either remember or read the past pages or bonus arcs since they ALLL tie into the same story of Las Lindas

    • jwink2236

and this also explains a few things with Mora even though the trolls and misinformed masses may think

      • Izeya

How does this explain anything at all about her? She's still a grade A bitch with pretty much nothing to her name.

    • BlackJade

Oh, everyone who doesn't remember are SO sorry. This comic is how old? And those who haven't even read the bonus comics shouldn't have to to understand what's going on in the supposedly MAIN story. Maybe you have time to reread this comic and all the bonus comics, but some of us graduated high school and have jobs and/or children now. This isn't Clamp, like how practically all of there manga is connected into Tsubasa Chronicles. Not to mention the fact that all those other stories were actually finished before Tsubasa Chronicles was. There are way too many of you acting like you know everything that's going on, even though the majority of it hasn't really been explained. And again, like their history, information about a bunch of this was PAGES ago.

  • http://yearofthecow.petitesymphony.com OtakuMan

    Narakhan…

Ah ha! Now we're getting somewhere.

So Narakhan must be the name used for Primes that were "Tainted", corrupted into following this Emperor, himself a Prime, seeking the power that the Crests of Prism protected. (So good to finally have a name for them after so many years)

But to describe them as "Tainted Primes", Primes trying to continue the old war from over 1,000 years ago… what could possibly "possess" them to try and keep fighting?

And I mean that quite litereally: take Ayah and Drake for example:

    http://laslindas.katbox.net/archive/comic-21-3/

While both are apparently Narakhans in Knighthood, it's clear that Narakhan's are not all the same. For starters: Drake has a conscience, just like Mora's father apparently did. Ayah, however, was tainted beyond measure: to a point where all would be laid waste in her path.

Worse still, it also indicates that the Narakhan are organized: a secret society existing on Neo-Earth to continue the battle from 1,000 years prior.

    But why?

My guess is this "Taint" that makes the Narakhan what they are isn't just some sort of "South Shall Rise Again" kind of mentality: not if what's been revealed is anything to go by. Instead, something actually physically inhabits a Prime's body to taint them, giving them dark powers of a near un-holy nature. How this taint infects them and how it persists across generations is currently unknown: and it's quite possible that not even High Prime Ambar herself, in all her knowledge, knows.

So, back to Mora's father, he was definitely a Narakhan, a fact that Mora has been keeping secret for years from everyone. Mora's afraid of being labeled a monster because of her father, and learning about it just made the protection he and Diana were trying to provide for Mora go right out the window. But that still doesn't entirely explain WHERE Mora's father was. Was he at a detention facility? A research lab? Was that building run by Narakhans or by the Primes?

Frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if that building was run by the Primes. It would indicate that Mora's father may have been captured after being on the run for so long. There, the Primes research him and possibly experiment on him to understand the nature of the "Taint" that makes Narakhans what they are.

It's also possible Mora's father gave himself in and subjected himself to the experiments willingly, not wanting to be what he is because of the danger he poses to the world. Maybe.

Still, now that there's a name for the enemies of the Primes, this continues to put more pieces of the puzzle together. Not everything has been answered, but the blanks are filling in. The question now I suppose is what will happen next?

Now that Mora's genealogy has been exposed, will her co-workers suddenly shun her? Will Minos reveal that he knew this all along and has been spying on her for Ambar? Is this why Alej believes that Mora has been given special treatment from the High Prime? What about Mora's father; what's his fate? Could the fact that he was a Narakhan been partly responsible for why Diana became ill? Could Alej somehow use this knowledge of Mora as a Narakhan against her? And what about Digit; if she's a reflection of Mora as a Nano-Zell spirit, then what does it say about her?

I guess we'll just have to find out! :D

    • http://www.kitsune-realm.com Kitsune-Realm

I think the Narakhan are hunting down the Crests who contain the Dragon Gods, they destroyed two planets just to get them and lost their Emperor. Also, in the LL timeline we have not seen any Narakhan fighting.

Though there are many similarities, Ayah and Drake are not confirmed Narakhan yet. Though I think Ayah really is, Drake might just be a member of a cult ruled by Narakhan. The reason I say this, is because Mora describes her father to Alej and Randall. And from that description, they assume he is a Narakhan. Drake does not have red eyes, although he does bear the tattoos. Since Ayah and Mora's father are actually Primes, I think what is inside of them, is what the Narakhan are.

What I wonder is though, if the Narakhan are so dangerous, why keep them alive at all. It would be easier for the Primes to just exterminate all of the them. And perhaps thats what that hospital is for where Mora's father is, to find a way to get rid of them.

If Alej is really going to blackmail Mora for that, she would really stoop below her level, and Ambar will probably intervene.

I too am very curious to see how this story will develop.

      • ghastmaskzombie

Yes, this comic has reached the magical point in its life when the answers start pouring in as fast as the questions. I've seen this happen about 5 times in the 2 weeks since I discovered web-comics, and it's always my favourite part. Finally enough information to really satisfy my curiosity, but still enough mystery to keep me guessing.

      • ScorpDK

I am wondering about Drake, too.

Now, here comes the question: is he a Narakhan already? Or do they go through a ritual of sorts to become one? Someone had to be the first, so how does it manifest, how does the aura of darkness become one with them? in case every of them has it.
Drake sure as hell didn't by then, so does it awaken, or do they inject those powers into them?

        Lots of questions! XD

      • http://yearofthecow.petitesymphony.com OtakuMan

I don't think the Dragon Gods are contained inside the bodies of the Crests. Just because the Crests may have been the "Keepers" of the Dragon Gods doesn't mean the Gods lived inside of their physical forms.

The Emperor did, however, want the power of the Dragon Gods, and went so far as to challenge them himself. If anything, the Dragon Gods are probably just as big a mystery as the Narakhan. They were responsible for reviving Earth into Neo Earth, true, but how they did that is still unknown.

What we do know, however, is that all 12 Crests: Earth, Fire, Water, Sky, Life, Death, Light, Dark, Ice, Wisdom, Courage, and Love were all there 1,000 years ago when the final battle that destroyed Earth took place. That also means they were witness, or possibly even instrumental, in the creation of Neo Earth. Plus, they aren't the only ones that are over 1,000 either, as the Love Crests' husband used to be a knight for the Emperor before betraying him and freeing Grace from her prison.

This means that living for 1,000+ years does not mean they have Dragon Gods inside of them. It does mean, however, that they know what the Dragon Gods are, where they are, and know what the nature of their power is.

You are right that we do not know 100% for certain that Ayah and/or Drake are Narakhan. It's possible Narakhan might not refer to the Prime itself, but the corruption within a Prime. But remember that Ayah called Drake a "Mutt", which means that it's possible for someone to only be partial Narakhan, which might be the case with Mora. Furthermore, it's possible that just because someone is called a Narakhan doesn't mean that they are completely evil. If Mora's father was 100% what you would call a Narakhan, then he was still capable of loving and fathering children as he did with Diana. Perhaps being a Narakhan is not something one becomes by choice?

Also, bear in mind that while Alej and Randal assume that Mora's father is a Narakhan, Mora did NOT argue against it. That means that he is, and they assumed correctly. Also, red eyes are more of a reflection of a Narakhan's power and now their actual eye color. Ayah proved that when Drake backstabbed her, literally.

Exterminating the Narakhan will not remove the threat that the Narakhan pose. For starters, it would make the Primes no more than murderers and not much better than the Emperor and his followers. I'm sure some of the Crests wanted to do that when the existence of the Narakhan became known to them, but I'm sure many of them were against that.

Still, there is the matter of that building that Mora's father was being held in. It's possible that if the Narakhan is a "taint" that infects Primes, then it's possible he's being used to try and find a "cure" for Narakhans, to remove the taint and heal them so they can be normal Primes once more.

If Alej were to use the knowledge of what Mora's father is against her, then that would be a new low for her. However, I doubt she's going to do that. Mora just helped pull Alej out of a really dark place and got her senses back. Furthermore, Alej has tremendous respect for Diana who practically raised her like her own daughter back when she was a calf.

What she's more likely to do is look back at what she knows about the Lindas family. In the beginning, she thought she knew Diana and Mora's father, and even boasted this to Mora in front of her face. This revelation and her shock means that what she thought she knew was wrong (or she made wrong assumptions).

I'm willing to bet she's going to go home and start connecting dots to figure out the truth using her resources and with help from Tootsie.

Something's rotten in Gossamer, and she's going to find out what.

    • Steve

Forgive me that I haven't read any bonus comics that involved the Crests, "Tainted-Primes," and Narakhans, but I'm thinking of what you're saying bout Drake's situation that it is more like an infection or a disease to make them "tainted." It all depends of what stage they are in correct? Like Stage 4 would be like Ayah and Stage 1 would be Drake and Mora's Father. Just my opinion I wouldn't called them "Tainted-Primes" tainted I would call them "Afflicted-Primes" since it's like a disease or something on those lines.

  • Lizzy

lol, continuity error. why is Alej's hair suddenly not in a ponytail anymore? she doesn't even have a hair-tie around her wrist to hint she took it out. well, I think the idea of Mora's father being a tainted prime and how she probably has this "Narakhan" in her blood is pretty cool. I still see that were quite a few points leading up to something like this. people need to chill their tits, I mean, yeah, there's always something to complain about in this comic, I won't deny that, but I seriously think Las Lindas has never been better. since the arc with Rachael vs. Mora I think the story has really progressed into something more. I still really don't like Mora, I don't think her tendency to be aggressive and abusive of her power can really be excused by this. anyways, that's not the point right now, I'm loving this, I love the art on this page, can't wait to read more. <3

  • http://www.furaffinity.net/user/maverikat/ MaveriKat

So… Mora DOES have the potential for evil within her… hmmm…

Well, at least there is now some explanation for her rather… 'poor choices' over the course of the comic as well as possibly hinting just WHY Minos and Ambar are so interested in her to the point where she's been pushed towards Mary Sue territory. It's in her BLOOD!

…And after saying that, now I want to see Mora in black leather's ala Marvel Comics' "Blade"…

After that last page (which I thought was executed horribly), this page seems to make up for that since we now know what the flippedy-doodles we saw with her dad. Like I said before, "A faulty strike of the sword can be made up for with a better strike," even though it still doesn't excuse you from making that faulty strike in the first place, there is always a redeeming factor.

For the record, this must have taking a lot of writing time to come up with a page like this after the seemingly negative reaction from the last page, nice comeback Chalo.

  • NOTWhiteKnighting

This was a great great page Chalo! I love everything about it!

The truth is out now, and I would just like to say that this arc has been a pleasant read. From Alej's breakdown to Mora's sad sad reveal that her father has been tainted to the point of no return. Despite all those who just want to bitch all over the internet, or those who feel this isn't 'original' enough, I hope you just laugh it off, especially Nia (Because, you know, we can't simply like Las Lindas. Opposing opinons to her own is the result of white knighting, don't you know? Ah well, ignorance is bliss XD).

I want to know what Minos thinks of this. If he knew all along or if this reveal will mean something between him and his new family. I can't imagine he wouldn't know, but then again, there's always a possibility. Furthermore, what about Ambar? What does she know? Will Alejandra confront Ambar to find out? Will Minos' status as a crest be revealed? (I honestly cannot remember if it was mentioned before. So if it has, I apologize sincerely.)

Poor Mora. Now we know why she was such a tyrant who felt that consequences didn't matter. Seeing that, talking to your long lost father who is so tainted with evil he can only be tied up and such…I personally would lose all inhibitions and say: fuck the world. The new family at Las Lindas has helped her grow past it, but now it's been flung out in the open again. </3 I can't imagine. I would just want to forget that event, if it were me. Either way, fantastic stuff Chalo!

Also, can't wait for Alejandra's little Nano zell spirit! Because of this closure and acceptance, it might even happen soon! <3 I'll be looking forward to it!

  • Verito

For the longest time I've been waiting for more explanation about the Primes, crests and now I guess the Narakhans but now I feel the need to ask… can we please get more Knighthood/Crest Diaries??? I love Las Lindas and have followed it for many years and everytime a little of the backstory to Neo-Earth is revealed I get a little more excited! I love backstories and now seems like a good time to get started explaining a little more, maybe?

I always think its amazing how people remember little details from years back but for the rest of us who have followed the story and just can't remember can there be a section that gives us the story so far or something like that? Just as a recap…and if there is can someone guide me to it, maybe in the forums? I think I understand it a little better but I'm really curious now. what exactly are the crests and how did they become crests? It seems Minos hides that he is a crest, why? and DOES he know about Mora? How will he react to this if he doesn't? How will Mora react to discovering Minos is a crest?

I love this comic and the story line and I hope it continues for a long time. I can't wait to find out more about Neo-Earth and all the story developments that will eventually come to light =)

  • otterpoet

Mora: Alej… My Father is a Narakhan!
    Alej: Noooo! That's impossible!
Mora: It's true! And Minos is your brother!
    Alej: That's… improbable.
Mora: And your dairy Empire will be defeated by a wolf in a sweater vest!
    Alej: That's… highly unlikely…
Mora: And Digit actually runs on Windows Vista!
    Alej: …wha?
    [time passes]
Mora: And you know Randal? He’s actually straight and interested in a girl!
Alej: Look, if you're not gonna take this seriously, I'm outta here!

    • Zero

      Lol otterpoet

  • Gaddez

I'm pleasantly surprised by the shortage of bitching for once.

On another note: Near as I can tell based on something I stumbled across a few months ago, las lindas exists within a setting pre-established by chalo that was origionally focussed on the struggles of the crests against "the emeperor".

  • Lime

I wonder how Alej will choose to use this new information she has gained.

    =o

    • RandomRedneck

      One word: Blackmail.

      • http://www.furaffinity.net BlackWind

How do you figure blackmail when Mora was being cooperative in revealing her dark secret to her two "siblings" from childhood? That would be dirty n underhanded if it went that way ò_ó

      • RandomRedneck

Because that's her corporate rival. Either Alej is gonna use it as blackmail material, or Wolfy McShades is gonna catch wind and use it.

  • GF

I'm sure this story isn't going to be painful to read.

So, narakhan are demons, primes are angels and Mora is an all-powerful mary-sue nephalem? Is that really how its going to play out?

    • Anon

Most likely. And the sad part about it, people will still donate to this comic and continue to read it pretending its a good webcomic.

      • ScorpDK

Why the need to hide behind Anon status? People do not donate to the main story, if you actually paid attention. The donations go to the bonus comics and bazaar items, which are where the actual money is made. The main comic is free.

      • Izeya

@ScorpDK And supposedly to understand all of this we have to read the bonus comic…which costs money…why in all of the holy mother of fuck would I pay money just so I can understand the main story if it's free?

  • antcow

Finally, now we know there will be a battle at some point.
Daddy breaks out and fights Minos on the farm in a thunder storm blah blah epic fight.
Still, we humans need a bigger part in this, what kind of powers do we have? >:)
Neo earth is still in the sol system right? Between Venus and Mars?

    • ScorpDK

our main power is apparently bitching. If what the text below the comic reads is true. :o

  • SteelDragonFist

This page is so shocking to read. For being the daughter of a "narakhan", I believe Mora's gonna have a uncertain future.

    Here comes drama…

  • http://edwinshy.deviantart.com EdwinShy

Interesting…very interesting it makes Mora even more interesting and I understand how it is keeping a secret like that from friends and family

  • OneManCOMICS

Huh, now I don't think that last page was cut off too suddenly.

  • ?

And from passable to shit. Oh well time to remove another bad comic from my reading list. At least I'll always have Gunnerkrigg Court, which is made by someone who isn't retarded and steals from animes and videogames.

    • Steve

Hater gonna hate we don't need you to as well.

      • Izeya

So giving criticism to webcomic that is nose-diving into the cliffs is apparently hating by you're logic.

    • ScorpDK

I really hope you're not the artist of that and are just self-promoting, that would be kinda sad.

    • Kurai

I love that series so much, even if I get confused half the time I read it xD

  • SparkTail

    Ok, that shit is scary…

  • Comichero

Well My big mra questions of why her ears are bigger then Al's and her horns small she's only have bovine tho I find it strange that if her pops and mom could find love a dark prime and a normal one then well she should ook at what brang them together inthe first place

  • savageshark

WOW…Mora's got bit of a Dark Side to her lineage. It will be interesting NOW to see how the story unfolds between Mora and Alej.

  • Izeya

Wow all I can say is wow. First off where the hell did the term Narakahn come from anyways and when was it actually introduced because last I checked it was nowhere mentioned in anytime of the comic. Second problem is that in order to get the information and background of how all this is related you need to read the bonus comic which was either "The Crest Diaries" or "Knighthood" I don't remember which, which you need to pay him to do…this is where it pisses me off. With that much information you're telling me that something important to the main story has to be paid otherwise we'll be left in the dark…that's bullshit and a lot of people know it. Third problem the white knights oh god do you people know how to do to perfection. This webcomic was good but as time has gone on it's going downhill where the payoff isn't even worth it and you say that "oh he works so hard you can't do that you troll/hater." Just because it's free doesn't mean it's good, critiquing something means someone is giving their opinions as to what is wrong and how it could be improved. So now I'll wait until the white knights come and defend Chalo like he's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

    • ghastmaskzombie

First off, I'd like to say that I'm not a "white knight" here to disagree with you, I just to point out a few things that I'd like you to consider. Firstly, "The Crest Diaries" and "Knighthood" are free to read, as I understand it. There's one button to donate toward the next comic in the series, and one to read the current comics for free; I read them all just yesterday, and I've never donated at all. Secondly, they're not very helpful in understanding this anyway. Most of the useful information comes from the explanation of the Primes' history earlier in the main series, along with Mora's statement in the fourth panel of this comic. Finally, I just want to say that while I do respect your opinion, you'll get a lot more respect from everybody else if you don't seem quite so angry.

      • Izeya

Actually in order to get to another page for a bonus comic you have to donate money to said bonus, hence why I said that people need to pay in order to see more of the story and from what I've seen from everyone saying those bonus comics are the ones that explain a lot of things in the main webcomic. As for respect the only thing that people respect is when someone kisses the webcomics ass even though sometimes there are flaws that have to be brought up and things that just make the webcomic worse.

    • MadLarry

Kind of reminds me of Kingdom Hearts, in a way.

"Here, we'll give you the basic story, but if you want any of this shit to make sense, go put a potentially-illegal modchip into your console and buy the Final Mix version, which contains all the content needed to actually make the story understandable.

    • BlackJade

THANK YOU! I thought the idea of them asking for money, so we could continue the bonus comics was bad enough (especially that much for a single page). Now, come to find out, if we want all this needed information, not only do we need to be up to date on the bonus ones, but we also have to give them more money to find out more. As far as I know, physical comics aren't this vague. They aren't going to make other comics so that the main one makes sense and then expect a ridiculous fee to be paid so their readers can fully understand. You can call it a donation, but it's not, especially for how much they're charging for just one page. Because they have put a cap before they will continue making another page for each comic, it becomes a fee. However, I must agree with ghastmaskzombie in saying you sound a bit too angry. Understandably, I know why, but it's best to sound as calm as possible when commenting/critiquing, otherwise people treat you like you're cursing and typing in caps lol

      • Izeya

Yeah I will admit that I did sound way too angry in that post but for myself it was the breaking point after seeing so many people say how awesome it was and how this twist made so much sense. In the future I'll be sure to try and not to put such an anger fueled comment.

  • william

now that mora has got that tale off her chest, things will slowly return to normal, with alejandra as a friend instead of an enemy. maybe they'll have a sleepover, maybe.

  • Jack

Could finally explain why Mora is such a b**th and a sl*t, it's the Narakhan part of her doing that. I wonder if Minos is a knight and assigned to kill Narakhans, wonder what he'd think about her being part Narakhan.

  • Waltzwriter

I know it has been said before, but can we go back to Alej having short hair? She does look better.

"What a twist worthy of me!"- M. Night Shamalamadingdong.

  • Candice

I guess this would explain why Ambar is seemingly protecting her.

  • Kimi

SO MANY STAR WARS JOKES <3

    I love people :)

  • derpus maximus

I would like to try my hand at theorizing this. Perhaps this isn't necessarily about black and white good vs evil. It could be about more than just a farm and the characters personal drama. This could all be slowly going towards something much larger than the current characters personal lives. The themes I'm starting to see revolve more around racism, history, a hopeful future, and a forging of loyalties that may just change a bit of the world for the better. It could be that Ambar is helping Mora and Alejandra because she can see that those two could usher in a more tolerant age….if not at least give it a nudge in the right direction.

This page also explains a lot about Mora's behavior. From the get go we see her do some terrible and stupid things. It's starting to make sense why she acted the way she did. Sure, they were wrong and deplorable, but after leaving her mother, living on the red, finding out her heritage, and then being treated like crap from people in her own home town it's pretty easy to guess why she had such a pessimistic view of the world. Hence her lack of remorse in the very beginning when she dealt with her newly acquired farm hands.

The same could roughly be said about Alejandra. She didn't have the best of lives either.

Much like in life, many of the characters acted on their emotions, rather than a balance between their heads and their hearts….or common sense. (Minos is a friggen monk…..wait…he's uber strong…would he also have a bit of "tainted one" in him?)

Seems to me that things are slowly gaining ground, sort of like a snowball effect. If people want a big gasp moment, boom, and "tweest" then this sort of story telling may not be for you. Perhaps it would be better to go watch a Micheal Bay film or M. Night Shamalon production. It seems Las Lindas is a story built on hints, foreshadowing, and plot layering, which isn't very good for the instant gratification crowd.

  • derpus maximus

Lol although I do think it's kind of funny that people are complaining about not remembering hints in the past. *thinks* I've been looking into something about web comics myself since I've been following almost 30 of them for so many years now.

When reading a comic (such as marvel) one normally waits a month between issues that give very little exposition and content, and yet the complaining isn't as explosive as I've witnessed here.

When reading a graphic novel, almost every thing is splayed out to the reader and once read the book is easily tossed away quickly since the tension is over quit quickly in regards to the instant gratification.

When reading web comics one gets maybe 2-3 pages a week as they are finished, so the plot can seems like it takes longer to unfold this way because of stretched out tension.

I've followed a few comics that seemed like that when reading up to the most recent posts. It felt like forever to get through the plot, and I had to revisit a few pages to remember plot points. Then I went back and re-read the whole story. The plot actually went much faster when reading it that way. One comic I bought in a book and the damn thing was over almost too quickly. *blinks*

Kind of an interesting psychological phenomenon. Time vs tension vs exposition vs reaction.

Although it would be a good idea to post links to old pages that give a reminder like "Dominic Deegan"'s Mookie does……it still wouldn't break our fingers to look through an archive or two. :3

  • http://www.gravatar.com slayer

To all u haters out there if you don't. Like this then start your own dang webcomic it is time consuming and difficult to keep exciting ask any writer of any book or comic or whatever it is difficult to maintain a good story line and keep the readers compelled to read I would know I am a writer and frankly I thought the page wasn't half bad this ads a twist that can open a lot of different story lines will moras father return to do something and what has happened to patches judgement why does the highprime help mora considuring what she is and does the prime even know these are all things that can be followed to keep a good story linekif you actually read all this I'm very surprised)

  • NH

    yeah, this is headache inducing…
I'll come back when all the bonus materials are done, so that I can read it and understand. This is coming too slowly and out of nowhere.
Like a surprise attack from a turtle.
Question: does Learning curves have any secret plot points I should know?

    • Cyrad

Not really. Miles had a sleazy girlfriend and a teacher who had an affair with a student. The rest of it is pretty much just softcore porn.

  • Cyrad

This would have been a great twist if:

    1) More time was spent explaining what Primes and Neo Earth are. How is it that it's been 300 comics and 8 years and we only know a very vague details about the setting?

    2) The author did NOT admit the twist would not be expanded upon and be of little consequence to the overall story arc.

The big reveal had potential for a great story. Instead, it's being used as a deus ex machina and an excuse for Mora to suddenly be emo.

    • That Ome

Call me crazy, but way back when they first met Ambar, didn't she explain to sarah what Neo-earth was in that long boring story.

      • Neku

That was a single high-school quality history session outlining the basic history of the primes. It shows pretty much nothing of the breakdown of species, history of interaction, development of technology, etc.
We pretty much have a comic based around a single farmland and wherever the characters may happen to adventure off to.

  • Kizzness

I will say, though this all works, it's a little disappointing that the only way to understand the gravity of this is to read comments that reflect back to many, many pages ago (like, pages from years ago) :< I'm not saying it doesn't work, but it's a slow build to something that should be very monumental. This is all information that should be given in one sitting, rather than the course of years, so I can see why some people are having difficulty appreciating the meaning you were going for. :)

  • http://www.thegeekzone.us Justin T. Southerland

so mora is a prime but a prime from the dark side..a sith if you will. interesting…so what is minos? if he was a prime them you would have a Romeo and Juliet type of deal which if done correctly (as I'm sure las lindas would) that would be a very interesting story arch.

    • MadLarry

Mora is not a Sith. Sith choose to abuse their power for personal gain, no matter what it costs anyone around them…. wait…

Okay, on second thought, Mora is definitely a Sith.

      • Izeya

        When wasn't she a sith?

  • Spiney

    Cheeeeeeeeese

  • Wolfykins

I love this comic. I've been a reader for probably 2-3 years now. That said, I have to say this is kind of anti-climactic. I get, from the comics, where it fits in with the overarching storyline, but it seems like this kind of story should be handled in a much longer, broader story arch than just a few comics where Mora explains how she went off to find her dad. Just seems like it's a much much larger story than what we get here, and it feels kind of forced and wedged.

    Also, moar bewbs.

    • ScorpDK

the main problem with going more into detail is that people WILL bitch about "another arc that derails from the current events for 2-3 months". They don't know what they want anymore :/

      • Kurai

A good author can explain the detail of their story without it feeling like it drawls on and on. That's the problem with many things like some webcomics and some video games. Slightly Damned, Gunnerkrigg Court, and TwoKinds are some examples of comics that pulled you into the world and gave you background history and information without putting it all in an imposing fashion. They explain the story but spread it apart, instead of making two or three text-heavy strips where they give the run down of an entire story.

The problem I, and a lot of people judging by the other comments, have with the comic is that it seems to separate the stories. It seems to try to focus on one thing at a time for lengthy periods, which pushes the history very far back. There have been plenty of opportunities to introduce history in the comic without it needing to take five or eight strips explaining it (such as at the farm festival, when digit almost died). Just little comments, hints, or references to history would make a world of difference in the comics.

The problem is it was mentioned only in a few strips then never mentioned again. And, I have to side with the people who say you shouldn't have to read side stories. The purpose of a side story is to focus on someone else's history, plot, etc. I.E it is a BONUS comic, and shouldn't be required to understand the main one. A good bonus comic is like Lion King 1 1/2 (I know it wasn't an amazing movie, but hear me out): it expands on the stories of characters and gives you more depth, but without it the series still stands on its own two feet.

  • Mike
  • jarf6

WTF is going on. Looks like all the trolls and haters of the Internet are making a convention on this comic.

    • Mike

Hey, i love the comic, I, just found that link while googleing Las lindas.

      • jarf6

Actually I was talking about Nia and all the other whiners. Sorry if I offended you.

    • Izeya

So people pointing out things that are wrong with the story, characters, and overall twists on the webcomic are trolls/haters…you know how fucked up that logic is.

      • jarf6

Well, you have a point, but I don't think "this comic is crap and anyone who thinks otherwise is and moron and a cocksucker" is a better logic.

  • That Ome

You know, Most normal folks usually put a book down when they don't like it.

    • Marvelous TK

Well most normal folks aren't normally given a direct platform to complain to the authors of books. And you know how people love to complain.

Not that I'm entirely against complaining. A complaint can be constructive. And some of the complainers even here do 'constructive' well! Praise for them. And then there are those who say things like 'This sucks and it will always suck,' and even if they have completely valid reasons for not liking certain things, all I can think is, "Man what an asshole."

Don't let this happen to you! Just say 'No!' to flagrant assholery.

      • Izeya

"and even if they have completely valid reasons for not liking certain things, all I can think is, "Man what an asshole."" If they have valid reasons behind it then it should be taken into consideration that maybe they're right and that something is wrong with the subject in question whether it sounds like they're being an asshole or not.

  • Some guy

You know, it's a shame really. I've been reading LL since the festival arc started and I can't help but feel that the quality of the story writing just slowly took a nose dive over the course of a year or so. I can fully appreciate why given the fact that Chalo is juggling about 4 comics at once (LL and side comics), but I don't get why you'd neglect your main draw. I mean, the art quality just went up and up as the years went on but the story lines became more and more inane until they hit the point that they just stopped being interesting, today's comic being a prime example. It's like it was just pulled out of thin air as a saving throw to keep the comic as dramatic as possible, even at the expense of an interesting story.

What happened to the main comic just being a bit of fun and maybe some fanservice on the side? Back when it wasn't suffering from a full blown case of Cerebus Syndrome. I'll keep reading it purely because I love the art and time that goes into it, but I can tell you now I've not been coming back for the engaging stories.

  • Grimlock64

So, is Mora suddenly going to get superpowers and go Dragon Ball Z on her father's keister?

… I can get behind that. XD

  • Smilingahab

Now, it's a bit of an incredulous twist to us, but to these characters, they found out her father is an arbiter of suffering on a scale that makes the Holocaust look like a street fight in LA. His kind literally destroyed everyone's worlds. They are really scared of that fact, and that he's possibly still alive, with who knows how many other narakhani, doing who knows what, and I think they are gonna have a bit of a hard time trusting her for a while.

Watching her grow up though, I think the only thing she inherited was a pig-iron skull (both literally and figuratively) and gargantuan boobs.

PLOT BOMB AWAY. I look forward to seeing more of the aftermath and review of the events of yesteryear playing out in the main sequence and in the origins side arc.

Wait, let me try that again….

I Seriously don't get the arguments here, at this point you'd think others would have grown up and just let all this slide. I mean, the story has it's flaws, but overall it's one of the best furry web comics I've read. Why do we have to argue over inane points we've gone over a million times…… it's just sad and almost pathetic….sorry to say this is for both sides of this arguement, no matter how much you guard the comic or bash it, you're just creating spam after awhile. Don't get me wrong some bring out valid points, but we keep hearing alot of the same crap over and over. The haters hear but they don't listen, so just ignore them…..

Anyway all the arguing kinda died down but I felt it necessary to give my two cents. I've been reading the comic for about two years now and never posted, so I thought I'd open my mouth for once….

  • Tiberiosty

    >< Mora's ears just keep GROWING!

    aaargh

  • the Confused One

ok OK, I am trying to follow along here, and I am not trying to be a troll. But can someone please show me the pages that discuss what the frick a narakhan is? becasue at this point in time the line "You father was a Pomeranian?!??" has about as much punch as the current one. I want to try to see if I missed something really damn obvious before rendering judgement on this page…

  • Kobra

Am I the only one here that doesn't understand? "Tainted Primes," old war, regenerative powers, what the hell you people talking about?!!

    • the Confused One

join the club… I have not the slightest idea what is going on. I would like to see a conclusion to that Rachel/Mora fight from before Digit almost died.

    • Izeya

I think it's just their way of trying to defend a webcomic that really doesn't explain itself at all.

      • Sanji

Ok we get it you guys don't like the way the comic is going. Ok you're leaving, have a nice day. Ok seriously? I thought you said you were leaving, just go already. You don't like the comic and it's obvious that it's reached a point to where you will never like it again, so just walk away and go read something else. You don't seem to understand though that more you insult the comic, the more time you waste here on a comic that you've already deemed as not worth your time. Yet for some reason you stay, so apparently you are conflicted, I suggest you try and take a breather though, it's a webcomic man, try and take this shit less seriously.

  • Helcat

Ugh, goddamnit, really? You're REALLY going to explain why she has this super strength and shit when it was only played for laughs before?

  • Countess

I know everyone's all pissed about the whole "dark twist in Mora's life", but I don't see it as a bad thing.

Essentially, just because Minos has a massive amount of strength, doesn't mean he's anything like tainted or high prime. While I won't say he isn't, because Chalo's the one writing it and we don't know the inside of his head, they're both basically powerhouse comparisons to their real-life counterparts. I don't think it's a dark twist at all actually, she probably isn't tainted or half tainted, whatever, that's simply rumour going about. It's just to add more intrigue and make her SEEM like she's got a dark twist, where in all actuality she's normal with a very bright future as the main protagonist if Las Lindas.

I'm no literary expert but I think everyone getting upset about it is ridiculous. Just because Her FATHER'S tainted, does not mean she is, and it does not necessarily mean she's half tainted or anything. As for her having super strength and such, as I stated, so does Minos, and again, he doesn't seem to be anything other than another protagonist with a mysterious past but a very bright future in this story. Hence why she doesn't know if she inherited part of his genes or NOT. It's a high possibility that she DIDN'T.

Dark twist or no dark twist though, calm your tits and stop being so critical. Enjoy the story as it progresses.

  • Culwecth

Well, this explains why Ambar has been paying so much attention to Mora and the farm…

  • Evil Emperor Proteus

Btw how do they know he was a Narakahn? Mora didnt describe what she saw. They just sort of deduces what he was for no reason.

    • Sean

It actually seems like the text at the beginning is trying to say that we missed the part where they forced Mora to divulge more information. This apparently happened off screen instead of, well instead of in the comic or last weeks comic where it would have been appropriate. Instead of causing a rift where apparently the comic can't take time to properly handle events. Someone needs to read the scripts and understand you need to fit certain things in and not just skip them and say you said it already, the comic just wasn't paying attention when it was said so you missed that part.

This is poorly handled but it's totally fixable and even if they don't fix it here, they can just focus on not making these mistakes again. Two bad comics won't ruin the story in the long run. Especially since it's just poor writing and the art is still solid.

  • keith

hey….isn't Ran Mora's adopted brother or something?

    • Dizzy

More or less. Neither Randall or Alej is "officially" adopted, but its still; a de facto sort of situation where they're there all the time anyways and Diana took care of them as if they were, if I remember correctly.

  • Zylo

I just have one thing to say about this.

What happens when Alej takes this juicy info, hurls it about like candy at a parade, destroys Mora's rep, and then starts taking over like the cold bit*h she acted like earlier in the comic?

    Just askin'.

  • Greg White

Why not have Las Lindas address overpopulation if we continue to make little or no progress reducing population worldwide aliens will eventually so fed up with us breeding like rabbits that they decide to fix overpopulation for us by abducting people and making them unable to have children.

  • MadLarry

You know, I just thought of something…

If Mora's some freakish hybrid dark mutant monster, maybe this explains why everyone is okay with her despite her being a gigantic bitch. Subtle hints of mind control, perhaps?

  • TheCultist

    Dark Taint?

    1'000 year lasting war?

Obscure cults trying to summon soul-devouring powers?

Ladies and gentlemen – Narakhan are Chaos Space Marines! :O

  • Dee6ix

Couple a questions. We're gonna need elaboration on this tainted prime stuff. They're freaking out about so I know it's important but we know nothing. Can't really relate…

  • Pachi

Guess that explains how she broke the table… :x

  • unthinkably swag

So, if i have like followed the story right this far, then the 'primes' are like "gods"?

And this naraka-stuff, is "fallen gods"?

Most ridiculous twist since, umm, hell, im not sure i know such ridicul-
ahh, most ridiculous twist since clones on moon.

  • BlackJade

I gotta say, this is ridiculous. Now Mora really is more than just the main character. She's more important than any other character and there's just going to be more stuff piled on top to make her even more over-powered. All the other characters can seriously be taken away and it wouldn't do anything, it's already so much about Mora, all the others don't matter. In a good story, there are many important characters that also become main characters. They're secondary main characters, but without them, the main character becomes lame. The story becomes a like a diary, only about one person and since they wrote it, they're special no matter what. If they have an enemy, they win without any effort and they over exaggerate every detail.

  • Sean

Wait, so, Primes came to Earth after there home world was destroyed by the Nanakhans. The Nanakhans, who are corrupted "primes" followed them to Earth where they live in hiding amongst humans. A great war between them pretty much destroyed Earth… So, Prime's are furry Autobots and Nanakhan are furry Decepticons?

That's probably over simplifying it but it's no worse to skipping a part of dialogue that was actually a serious reveal. I can't figure out why you would have them force her to tell them more "off screen" but you seem to be implying that. Does the comic have someone playing editor to catch things like this?

  • beastman

….Sorry, Mora turning out to be the daughter of some supremely powerful and dangerous "anti-prime" character just seems really out of place in this comic…I mean, she doesn't have any super powers (and I hope she doesn't develop any), she looks like a normal cow woman, and its WAY too late in the story for something like this to be taken seriously. I mean, Las Lindas has always been a sort of love/comedy/drama sort of tale with a bit of sci-fi mixed in, but having Mora be the daughter of some uber baddie is just too silly and weird, would have made more sense if her dad had just been a neglectful creep or someone just not cut out for family life for whatever reason. I mean, we've never even HEARD of a Narakahn until now, so this revelation just comes out of left field and not making any sense. Maybe if we'd been introduced to the idea of Narakahns many issues ago it make more of an impact, but now its just a weak & unimpressive twist. Sorry

  • RileyK

    But what happened to Miles?

  • Weeee

The poor plot line is giving my mouse wheel a fun ride up and down the page.

  • Evil Emperor Proteus

Cant wait for the Director's Cut DLC where the Narakahn is retconned and blue/green/red is added.

    • MadLarry

Given the weird dark fantasy stuff, I'm honestly more expecting 'Las Lindas: Final Mix'. It'll be a bonus comic, so we'll have to pay for it, and it will be a re-release of the main comic with some extra pages thrown in that make the plot actually make sense.

  • ghastmaskzombie

Anybody know what the update schedule for this comic is?

    • Dizzy

Every Wednesday for main comic, every Saturday for bonuses, supposedly.

I wouldn't expect much, though. They're rarely on time.

  • astersa

Wednesday at 2:00 am, I also ablate with soulkat gutaria aserca of Tiggs. -_-

  • jarf6

    Just some pointers:
    http://laslindas.katbox.net/archive/prisms-fading-light/
    http://laslindas.katbox.net/archive/comic-16-3/

I'm not against criticism, but next time you want to make a critic, just make sure to know what you're saying.

  • BadXAsh

Critique? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means… Listen to Jarf6 do a little back ground checking before you start flying the Critic Banner. This story has been going on a long time so there are nuances in the story you need to remember that are coming up now, then it makes a bit more sense.

  • That Ome

There is no general rule that says one must put everything into one webcomic. If the writer chooses to put them in a separate space than that is their decision. If you're going to complain about every page without AT LEAST looking at the other material then you might as well stop reading because you're not being reasonable. You obviously know of the other material but refuse to look into it. That is your choice, you don't have to. But if you're going to "critique" without at least looking then really your response is a load of balderdash.

  • BadXAsh

HAHAHA OOOOOOH! You are using big intelligent words to get your point across… Twats eh? Well then I guess I must take you seriously as a critic. You're a straight shooter who doesn't mince words. That's all well and good but frankly you lose all credit when you refuse to see reason because it doesn't suit you… Well you know who suffers from your "You are unique snowflake" Mentality? You do… because frankly you think we give a shit what you think of the comic… And you know what you're right. You are quite easily forgotten & please feel free to not respond and leave this comic that you seemingly hate so much behind… Or don't cause really your opinion is pretty much like that unique snowflake, UH! it's gone and forgotten. HEY! I like this mind set. Good day. ^_^

  • Steve

You must be either lazy or just plain fucking stupid to not read the bonus comics to know the WHOLE plot of the story. If something like knowing what type of character of Mora's Father is it'll be in a bonus comic. If you wanna know what faction they are it'll be in a bonus comic. Don't make Chalo to put ALL of that info into the main one since it'll take even longer character development for Mora and her gang.

  • Jess

I don't normally read most of the other comments when the page gets too long, but I believe you're not getting what I was trying to say about Mora. We get to see another part of her that shapes her as a character, it adds a new dimension. In the beginning of the comic, we know jack squat, and in the first few chapters I thought she didn't have much to her at all and just needed to seriously grow up. If it weren't for the other main characters I wouldn't have gone beyond those chapters.

Just because we get to see more of her history, and then see some of why she acts the way she does, doesn't excuse her for what she's done or how she's treated the others. That's not what I was getting at. I'm just glad there really *was* a little more to her than I first thought, as she seemed to be angry at everything for no reason.

  • lonlonman

    @Nia
And yet you're still compelled to make drama out of it….Just like a amateur troll who lacks experience.
Now i know this comic has it's weak moments…But at least i'm giving it a chance to improve Chalo puts a lot of hard work into this free comic (I remind you it's a free comic to read at our leisure at anytime.)When something's free…You don't question the quality because frankly you didn't pay for anything and you're not out of money so quit b—-ing.if you don't like where this arc is going or the idea you might have to read the sub comics to get the whole story because you feel it's a complete waste of time…..Then stop reading it….The logical route.
Just can the drama… no one cares and besides it makes you look like the very thing the very thing i say you are…A troll with lack of experience and skill.
To put it simple…..If you don't like it….stop reading it.

Some of us enjoys this comic and don't care what your views are or want to know…so move on already.

  • BadXAsh

*Chuckles* I think I've made my point.

1.) Wasn't defending the comic… I was critiquing your lame attempt at being a straight shooter.
2.) Yes yes we give them blow jobs… you've made that point 2 or 3 times already. I'm pretty sure you're confused on what blowjobs are… but it's okay it might happen someday for you.
and 3.) oh and this is the most important fact of all for a critic to know if you're going to pass judgement on something… Ready? okay…

CHALO IS NOT THE FUCKIN WRITER OF THE STORY!!! I was hoping you would realize your mistake the first few times you posted… but I can see you're pretty thick and that's okay I could tell from your limited vocabulary. Chalo is not the writer of this story, he simply makes the pretty pictures you come back to look at. Frankly if you're not smart enough to know this by now, I'm sure as hell not going to tell you who the writers are cause frankly I know they wouldn't give a crap what you had to say anyway. SO… where was I?… Oh yeah, Good day! ^_^

  • Gargravarr

I hope not. Considering all the development Alej's supposed to have just gone through, it'd be pretty damn low of her to instantly jump to thoughts of blackmail.

  • MadLarry

Don't forget he also pulled the "I'll bet you can't do it better" schtick, which is both incredibly stupid, and getting really old.

  • Anon

Everything on the internet is free game to criticism. No if ands or buts.

  • lonlonman

    @Nia
Trust us nia..The praises here aren't phoney..the plots might get weak at times.. but the stuff is a hell of a lot better than most online stuff out there…..
Now if this comic is really beneath your time..if you think you can do a freakin' better job with the writing then get hire on here…. Otherwise as i said before go somewhere else.
and if you don't like what we say on here.. remember we're entitled to our opinions like you're entitled to yours and we don't have to agree with you just like you don't have to agree with us which you constantly remind everyone here.

It's simple… Agree to disagree and move on already.

  • lonlonman

    Well said sir.^^

  • Izeya

There are a few flaws with what you said. One of them is "if you don't like a comic, go find another one. Your energy and time will be better used supporting something positively than trying to unleash negativity on something you dislike." If people didn't like what they saw and moved away from it, it wouldn't grow and improve itself it would still stay the same. Also what do you define as "constructive criticism" and remaining "classy"? And a bit of a heads up you might want to get off the soap box and stop sounding like a pseudo intellectual person who thinks that they know almost everything that should happen it doesn't make you look good it only makes you look like an ass.

  • Izeya

@EmCeeKhan Look I used to like the webcomic really I did. The problem is that the whole story with how Mora finding out her father was a "Narakahn" just came out of left field it seemed both anti-climatic and outplace and trust me I read the bonus comics and I went back and looked at the story that Amber made and still it didn't really make any sense. Also a lot of anime cliches are being used and I can see more of them being put into the future and honestly for me it's kind of stupid to do since they've already been done to death that it's like beating a dead horse with another dead horse.

And please forgive me but I'm really getting tired of how people are saying that this brings character depth into Mora when really this is making her more and more into a Mary-Sue than anything. I want to make this webcomic better which is why I'm still here now and not really leaving because I feel that it can be good and I'm just inputting my own opinion into the webcomic.

  • MadLarry

You can count me among you as well.

MAN, this arc has been fun. There's just so much stuff to poke fun at, both from the comic itself and the comment warfare.
